Fulham - Hodgson`s Cup Fever!

It certainly wasn`t pretty but an injury ravaged Fulham side were certainly effective in shutting out Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

The draw made it two games on the trot that we`ve remained unbeaten and after the match Roy Hodgson mentioned the importance of edging that few points extra clear of relegation. He also expressed a wish that those in the treatment room somehow shake off their injuries and join in the fray when he remarked,

"Taking four points from our last two games is a big weight off our minds because we are now ten points clear of the relegation zone. We are still in the FA Cup and the Europa League and we have nine games in the next four and a half weeks."

"We will battle on in the hope that some of the injured players will be back in March and April."

It sure looks to be hectic schedule coming up starting with a fixture against Burnley, at Craven Cottage, tomorrow evening.

But, you get the impression that Roy is starting to cast an eye towards silverware and possibly putting the first ever piece on the Craven Cottage sideboard when he remarks,

"The FA Cup is our best chance to win something this season and we want to go as far as we can in the competition."

With Notts County standing between us and a second successive quarter-final appearance do you think Roy is starting to get cup fever?

Nope. He'll make more of an effort in the FA Cup than Europa League, but I doubt we'll see him take many chances with the few healthy players we have left.

hopefully our squad players can make it past notts county, and then we'll see where the draw takes us...
