Fulham - Hodgson on Lucky Escape!

In a disappointing game, a game where Fulham failed to muster a single shot on target, the only positive point was the one we added to our tally for the season.

With a side hit hard by injuries it was probably the best we could hope for and in his after match interview, Roy spoke about the poor form going into the game, the courage of Mark Clattenburg in disallowing the goal when he remarked,

"It was a barrage but you need people to stand up especially when you`ve not been playing as well as you have been."

"But that`s understandable when you have seven players missing. Bolton put us to the test. They had by far the better chances but our keeper was good and we worked well."

"I congratulate the referee on the strength of his decision for the disallowed goal. I spoke to Brede Hangeland and he said e felt the push. You`d expect me to say this though just as I expect Owen Coyle to say, 'we was robbed."

"We`ve not had a lot of lucky decisions this year - if that was lucky. I don`t think it was though."

I beg to differ Roy, I`d have been horrified if it had of been the other way around!

I'll chalk up the lucky call to the fact that Bolton cleared three shots off the line during the match at Craven Cottage in November. We should've won that one. They should've one this one. Now, nobody's happy!

More references to luck, I wonder if Roy plays the lotto?

As Coleman said when we relegated Norwich "one game does not relegate you, but 38 over the season" I dont know what thats got to do with the lucky draw....maybe im trying to say that over a season you win some and lose some but ultimately you make your own survival
