Fulham - Roy Picks Up German Youngster!

Amidst the hullabaloo surrounding the closure of the January transfer window, Roy Hodgson appears to have secured the services of a decent youngster, one for the future.

For the modest fee of, a reported 100,000, Fulham have secured the services of the promising Liverpool youngster, Christopher Buchtmann.

Previously on the books of Borussia Dortmund, the teenager can slot in anywhere on the left side of the pitch and if UEFA have any knowledge looks set for a great future having been voted into the top ten stars of the future back in 2009.

Whether he can make that crucial breakthrough into the Fulham first team, in the near future, remains to be seen.

Welcome to Craven Cottage young Christopher!

Nice to see Fulham pick-up such a well-regarded youth player. Can't imagine we'll see him this season, but hopefully, he'll debut sometime next season.

Yes. Good to see we can attract top-drawer youngsters.

lets pray he makes the grade then!

how good he is we'll have to wait and see but the fee is a modest one!

Unfortunate headline..... :-)

i like this move as well... i'm assuming we don't have anyone coming in the pipeline at left back, or else we'd have seen them already... bring in the youngsters... it can only make us better...

As a Liverpool fan, I can't see why the club have sold him. Whenever I saw him play for the youth team, he was brilliant. I get the feeling this sale has more to do with the Yanks than Rafa. Hodgson's possibly got a real gem here.
