Fulham - More Smalling Confusion!

Yet another twist!

After swallowing hook, line and sinker the news from Sky Sports that a deal had been done with Manchester United, a deal that would have seen Smalling stay at Craven Cottage on loan until next season, Sky Sports are now intimating that may not be the case.

Apparently, Fulham have issued a statement that the deal is subject to a medical and also terms between the clubs being accepted.

Meanwhile, it`s now being reported that Arsenal have also had a bid accepted by Fulham.

It`s enough to make your head spin!

United have announced the deal on their official website. If wenger steals this one off us it will be beyond embarrassing!

that would be something... i think as smalling i'd go to man u as they're bereft of central defenders at the moment... i wonder, how old are rio and vidic? can smalling crack that starting pair anytime soon... what about gallas and vermaelen... gallas is the oldest of them, isn't he? how old is hughes again? it's going to suck to have him leave...

I think sky might be making abit of mischief. Smallings mum seems to think he is a United player and says that his brother is ecstatic as he is a united fan. Although, wenger is a sneaky one.

Can someone please tell me where this news came from that , an Arsenal bid has been accepted. I checked the fulham website but they have nothing about it.

That may be true about his family tuscan, but it's been widely reported that Chris, himself, is a lifelong gooner.

Well so far we've got man uniteds spokesman, fulhams spokesman, roy hodgson, chris smallings mum and a man down the local whose nephews is in the fulham reserves ALL saying that chris is joining united. If wenger takes him off us now, I'll cry! But in all seriousness, if Hodgson, Fergie, Wenger and Pearce rate him so highly - what the hell were millwall thinking?
tuscan3000
United have him...simple as that. Would probably rather see him at Arsenal to be perfectly honest though...
