Fulham - Latest on Smalling Deal!

The transfer of Chris Smalling, to Manchester United, has gathered further pace.

With several news agencies suggesting that Arsene Wenger might try and gazump Sir Alex Ferguson, Sky Sports News have released the news that Smalling has agreed terms with Manchester United and will join them in time for the 2010/2011 season.

This indicates that Smalling will remain at Craven Cottage until the end of the season and will also allow Roy Hodgson preparation time to assess who to bring in as a replacement.

I guess we`d better not break him then!

this is still crap... why are we selling? surely it'll cost more than what we're getting to replace him, no? there aren't brede hangelands lying around, waiting to get picked up on the cheap...

Well Vermealen cost £10mil at the start of the year. Vidic £8mil 2 years ago, Hangeland £2.5mil. I would take any of them over a 2 start Smalling

Well now that we have confirmed that we are a selling club with no ambition (reports say we let him go for £4m) who's next. Theres a good chance that Hangeland will go to Aresnal in the summer and I woulldn't be surprised if Roy started looking around as well, why would he want to stay at a club that can't hold on to its players, as Woody says this whole thing is complete crap and sends out the message that any team that wants one of our players only has to ask and we will roll over with out so much as a wimper. Very very p*ssed off about this.

Sad to see him go...
