Fulham - Smalling Bid Accepted!

Well that didn`t take long did it?

No sooner had I finished a brief article stating that a United bid for Chris Smalling might be forthcoming, that news filters through that Sir Alex Ferguson has had a £8 million bid accepted for the youngster.

Knock me down with a feather - that deal moved on fast didn`t it!

One can only suspect that Roy Hodgson views the business as being too good to turn down and that the fee, when forthcoming, is destined to be spent on strengthening other areas of the team.

We`d like to wish Chris well and I guess the opportunity to move to (supposedly) the biggest club in the world, was too good to turn down.

Chris may have only played a handful of games for Fulham but he made his mark. Is there anyone else out there who has scored more won goals than actual goals for his club!

Very very very disappointed.

extremely dissappointing... so will he follow the career path of howard and saha? bought by man u, decided they weren't good enough, and became starters at everton? can we get him back in a couple of year when man u decided they don't need him instead... smalling was one for the future... this move is shortsighted...

Good business. I don't have a huge problem with it, except that we now have zero cover at center half. No offense, but Chris Baird and Toni Kallio are not up to the task. We've put ourselves in a precarious position. We better sign someone or we might be rolling the dice on the entire season.

Oh yeh. Good luck to the lad!

who knows what kind of player smalling would of been for us. lets just hope he don't turn into a john terry, then that will be bad business and upsetting.but if not, 8 million is good business...... "fulham for the cup".
