Fulham - Smalling Is A Wanted Man!

He may only have made a handful of appearances but already Chris Smalling is attracting attention from the top clubs in the Premier League.

We`ve already mentioned, in previous articles, that Arsene Wenger is considering making a bid in the region of 7 million for the youngster and now it appears that Sir Alex Ferguson has also been monitoring the progress of the youngster who Roy Hodgson plucked from non-league Maidstone.

Here at Vital Fulham we`d hope that Chris would want to repay our clubs confidence in him by remaining a Fulham player but if the decision is taken to sell him with two parties involved I`d imagine there`s every chance that a bidding war could push the price up to a level whereby we`re the main beneficiaries!

We paid 7M for vidic! I've heard he's a good player, but with our finances he'd have to be pretty special for us to pay that kind of money.

i think he's is that special, which is why i'd MUCH rather keep him on... hangeland is first choice, and hughes has struck up a great relationship with him, but smalling would definitely get his chance to shine and take over eventually...
