Fulham - Rivals for Beattie Signature?

With the tabloids suggesting that James Beattie could be coming to Craven Cottage on loan with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer, this morning they are singing from a different hymn sheet.

Now, it appears, that West Ham United are preparing to make a 3 million bid for his services as they seek to consolidate their Premier League status.

I get the opinion that Stoke City might well prefer a permanent deal to be done now rather than a loaner whereby a deal might not actually materialise come the summer.

With the influx of money at West Ham, I can't imagine Beattie would have much of a future there. They'll be spending this summer. If he comes to Fulham, he'll have more opportunity to make a mark. A good performance would see the loan become permanent, I think.

quite interested to see how he does if he moves, not a bad striker, wouldn't mind him as cover at Villa, although many disagree with me - how dare they!?
The Fear
it will be a very interesting transfer once it's done... stoke had a good striker who strictly fell out of favor of the manager... he's leaving for really no other reason... so some premier league club will get a striker who can do the business...

I don't think he'd have a future here beyond a loan deal...

and that's why I feel West Ham are favourites to snatch him!

still like to see him here to see what he could do for us!
