Fulham - Beattie is the Target!

After pulling the plug on the Okaka deal, the 'Daily Grapevine` is now suggesting that Roy Hodgson has a new striking target.

Apparently, Roy is keen too capitalise on the recent bust up between the Stoke City striker, James Beattie, and his manager Tony Pulis by securing a loan deal for the experienced striker.

The rumour suggests that the loan deal would be for the rest of the season and provide Fulham with some added firepower as they compete on three fronts still.

Could the much travelled striker do a decent job for us?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Would welcome the lad with open arms, and, it seems like there's a decent amount of truth in this rumour...

I knew Beattie's name would come up sooner or later. He's not prolific, but he has that quality of scoring in bunches when he first arrives at a new club, then tails off later. Perfect loan situation. Hope it comes off.

I'd grab him like a shot - can be quality if motivated1
Al Billy
I'd take him as a permanent buy I would!
Fulham Badger
no permanent, but an ideal loan...

Not convinced, he's well past his best isn't he? Having said that.. a loan deal would be ok, I'd be concerned if it was permanent!

Beattie for half a season, with europa games, cup, etc he would be a great signing on loan with a view for a year contract if he playes well.
