Fulham - No, no, Stefano!

Before the weekend I was pretty sure, from what I was reading, that the loan of Stefano Okaka to Fulham was pretty much completed.

However, as the days passed, more doubts were expressed and it's got to the point where we won't be signing the 20 year-old at all!

With Bobby still on the sidelines of course, and Dempsey being the latest man to pick up a knock, it would seem we're in short supply when it comes to forwards.

That's what makes this decision all the more odd. Roy has expressed his concerns about Okaka's lack of 'desire' to join the club, but, all we really need is a temporary striker to fill in the gaps for the time-being.

And, if we can get someone as good as Okaka in based on those terms, we're hardly losing out!

Opinions please?

I read that a physical revealed an injury, which would prevent him from jumping into immediate action. If that's the case, then it's a good move. With Dempsey now out (apparently), anybody we pick up needs to be able to hit the ground running.

Fair play to roy not bowing to the situation of losing players. Still plently time left to seek other options!

even our loan prospects are getting injured... if i played i'd avoid the cottage for my health's sake... this is very bad.

something has happened behind the scenes. As Teddy says it could be a hidden injury, perhaps a wage demand/contractual demand. Whatever it may be I'm sure Roy knows what he is doing.
DeuceBigelow
It is an injury it would seem. Roy made it clear that the lad was slightly reluctant to come too, but, he does carry an injury apparently.

an injury that would prevent him from playing immediately! Not what we need right now!

I reckon Roy will take the plunge for a striker, just got this feeling!
