Fulham - No Striker Buy!

Following on from our 2-0 defeat at Ewood Park, and reading between the lines, it doesn`t look as if Roy Hodgson is prepared to spend on a striker this January.

With Clint Dempsey suffering what looked to be a serious injury, our once potent strike-force is looking a little depleted.

But, and fair play to him, the manager is sticking by his principles, remarking,

"Injuries are not being kind to us. It`s the transfer window but we are limited with what we can spend."

"I don`t like buying players just for now when there are others coming back further down the line."

"So we have to carry on and do the best with the players I have got available."

"We are short up front at the moment and didn`t take our chances."

So it looks as if Andrew Johnson and Erik Nevland will be asked to deliver the goods until either Bobby Zamora or Clint Dempsey return.

Is it a decision you agree with or not?

I understand if they don't want to buy a player, but surely a loan is in order. By all accounts, Federico Macheda, Benni McCarthey, Jason Roberts, Emile Heskey, James Beattie might be available. No long-term commitment; just someone who knock in a few goals for a couple of months.

A loan'd be perfect. I don't understand the Okaka situation...even if he's shown a slight lack of desire...he's still a good, TEMPORARY striker.
