Fulham - O`Hara Link Resurfaces!

Several rumours are doing the rounds that imply Fulham could take advantage of the current plight Portsmouth find themselves in.

Now we`re not mercenary enough simply march in and snatch a Portsmouth player on the cheap, we`ve got better morals than that, instead we`re, reportedly, taking advantage of a refusal by the Premier League to show some heart.

With Portsmouth embarrassed financially, the Premier League have stepped in forbid them from extending the loan spell of the player they had on loan from Tottenham, Jamie O`Hara.

Tottenham had agreed to extend the players loan spell but Portsmouth were thwarted due to the situation whereby monies are owed for several transfers they were involved in.

Fulham were linked with O`Hara in the summer and putting two and two together several news agencies have started circulation their suspicions that he could be heading our way again, albeit on loan.

Speaking about his current situation the player has remarked,

"I`m disappointed as I want to help Portsmouth out of relegation but I just want to play football."

In your opinion, would a move for O`Hara be a good one or should we leave alone?

Pompey fan from W6 here...we'd be gutted to see O'Hara go; he's not the best midfielder in the Premier league but he works his socks off and gives his all. At least with FFC he'd get paid on time! Good luck to him, I say. Would rather he didn't get on your books until after Saturday though. See you at the Putney End ... please be gentle with us!

(Portsmouth fan) Lad's a pompey hero! he'll do well anywhere. Hate to see him go, but what can us fans do...

I'd be more than happy to see him sign temporarily! I just worry he'd be another man to play backup to our already strong midfield. Not a bad move though...
KBFulham
yeah, he's got talent but nowhere to play in this squad... see dikgacoi's complaints in the news...

Roy seems to have a central midfield obsession. I just wish that obsession would turn to a more attacking-minded central midfielder!
KBFulham
love the get paid on time comment - made me chuckle!

I don't see our central midfield being strong, at all. Murphy is showing his age. Not a big fan of Greening to begin with. And, Etuhu, Dikcagoi and Baird are essentially defensive players. The remaining mids are wingers or forward attacking types. We need to find the next Danny Murphy to run the match from a central position. If he can attack, all the better. Love to see us sink some money into someone like Mesut Özil from Bremen.
Teddy_KGB
teddy we definitely need an attacking midfielder, but o'hara's more of a defensive minded player... he won't do...
woodysweats
Ozil is not a bad idea at all. As we raise out European profile, who knows, we may even attract those types...
KBFulham
yes we need mor atack minded players I am happy with our mid field I think roy feels he can push them forward or bring them back
truth sayer ffc
Totally agree with you all....Roy's main priorty is the next DM!!! Could Jamie be the one that could develop? Remember Danny being defensive back up to jimmy B back in the day and had to step up to attacking when Bull***t left. Big Des tutu came in and bingo quality. Jamie is young and under Danny i feel could be a real gem running the midfield....
