Fulham - Hodgson on Stoke Loss!

After going virtually the whole of last season without picking up any serious injuries, apart from Simon Davies late on, this season has seen us hit with more than our fair share.

Following on from last nights defeat, in the Artic wasteland they call Stoke, Roy Hodgson commented on such a fact and also suggested that if we`d been given as little bit of what they call Fergie Time we may well have snatched the most unlikely of wins.

This is what Roy had to say,

"We`re not very fortunate with injuries this season and this was an expensive night for us."

"It was a difficult deficit to come back from. They gave it their best shot and if the game had lasted another 10 minutes I think we would have won it."

"The players made certain they finished the game in dignified fashion and did not capitulate."

"I think Stoke were pleased to have a three-goal advantage because my players gave it a good go."

At least, amongst the heartache of defeat, we have the consolation of that fine long range strike from Clint Dempsey to savour!

Dempsey's strike has got to be our goal of the season by a long chalk!
Al Billy
probably but to be 3-0 down at half time was a real shock considering the opposition!

Am I allowed to say that you suffered because you didn't recover from the Swindon game? Nah I didn't so.

3 0r 4 players were left out the swindon game you could put it down to our poor away form but give stoke some credit the played well first half did not allow us time on the ball

I think fitness played a part. If we were to find something else to blame it on, the Swindon game wouldn't be a bad shout!
