Fulham - An Old Face Returns!

The magic and romance of the FA Cup returns to Craven Cottage this afternoon when Swindon Town visit us.

The tie will also see the return of a certain Michael Timlin to Craven Cottage.

Timlin was, as a youngster, predicted to have a bright future at Craven Cottage but, as is often the case, things never quite blossomed and he made a switch to the County Ground to kick-start his career.

Timlin has been with 'The Robins` for eighteen months and has established himself making fifty-two appearances, speaking about his impending return, he had this to say to the press,

"I`m looking forward to it massively. I`m sure there are a few fans that heard a lot about me but I didn`t fulfil my potential."

"So this is an opportunity to go back and enjoy it."

I`m sure the Craven Cottage faithful will give Michael an ovation when his name is read out but let`s hope he doesn`t leave celebrating a cup upset!

I'd be very surprised if he gets on. I imagine he'll make a late appearance if the game is over.

HOW RIGHT YOU WERE NEVER MIND WELL PLAYED

He's been out of the side for a while as he can't get into that midfield. We've got another former Fulham youngster going by the name of Kasali Yinka Casal. We paid Cambuur Leeuwarden an undisclosed fee for him and he's widely regarded as one of our worst players ever! The poor lad.

seems like we don't have the best reputation for youngsters then...

I remember Michael Timlin quite well. Funny though, I can't even remember him leaving. Probably for the best though...
