Fulham - Hangeland Injury Latest!

With an FA Cup tie against Swindon Town coming our way this weekend, the focus on the Premier League can be relaxed for a week or so.

Our Norwegian centre-half, Brede Hangeland, missed the recent trip to Stamford Bridge to take on London rivals Chelsea and Roy Hodgson has commented on Brede`s latest situation.

"Brede is coming along well. He'll be touch and go for Saturday and we won't make a decision until the morning of the game."

"He's worked well with our medical staff and will probably join in with the team tomorrow (Friday) at some level."

If it`s that touch and go we`d prefer to see Brede given more time to recover and instead let young Chris Smalling carry on partnering Aaron Hughes at the heart of our defence.

We`re sure the experience will serve young Chris well after his excellent showing at Stamford Bridge on Monday afternoon.
