Fulham - Murphy Keen on Management!

Not every player looks to move into management after ending their playing careers!

Some, no doubt with bulging bank balances don`t need the hassle, others don`t see themselves cut out for such a job whilst others, who do want to have a pop often don`t get the opportunity.

Our own Danny Murphy though is very keen to take up the challenge of man management, even though he still has a few years left at this level playing, but he doesn`t want it to infringe upon his playing career.

Speaking to the media Danny has commented,

'In an ideal world, of course I'd love to go into the coaching side of it, but I think I've got a few more years left to play."

'I've started the ball rolling on my badges, and I'm moving forward with that."

'But I don't want to get too preoccupied because it can take your focus off playing, even though it is an area I'd like to delve into in the future."

'I've got to make sure I prioritise myself for playing every week because, at the moment, every manager and coach will tell you they'd rather be playing than coaching, and I'm still the same.'

So, do you see Danny Murphy as management material or not?

I certainly see danny as being a good manager...he has played under a variety of managers with differing skills and knowledge. Im sure he has learned from both the good and the not so good.. I have really enjoyed watching him lead fulham and i think the way roy goes about his business could have had a positive affect on danny. I think both of them have similar personalities, charactaristics and values in life. Who knows danny may return one day to lead fulham from the dug out.
Iv said all along roy get dano on the coaching staff start with the youth team
