Fulham - Gera Finally Adapts?

Last season I probably wouldn`t be too far off the truth if I suggested that Zoltan Gera looked to be struggling in our squad.

This season he`s like a man reborn and it`s a lot easier to see why Roy invested in him when signing him from West Bromwich Albion.

So why the sudden change?

Zoltan tries to explain,

"I feel more comfortable now. Last season was difficult to settle down in a new club. And I think it was because there was a totally different system at West Brom, where I played before."

"I had four very good years with West Brom. But there we played higher up the pitch - and the results were, well, sometimes not so good."

"Here at Fulham we have four midfielders who defend as well as they attack, and this works for me and the team."

My only problem is - why did this simple change in tactics take so long to sink in?

and in this season with the europa league, he really has gotten a full run of games... last season he lost his spot to dempsey and davies, and played in reserve games and cup matches... not the best way to get match sharpness... he's looks a good investment at the moment, and played well against man u... he nearly had another pearler but for a man u save...

Well maybe this highlights that a manager can make an average player....took gera time to realise this on the wages he is on? and be given a chance, he is lucky....please please please prove me wrong and shine....
