Fulham - Schwarzer Praise for Boss!

Fulham - Schwarzer Praise for Boss!

He`s not, to be honest, the sprightliest of managers as age starts to slow him down, but it appears Roy Hodgson is still no slouch.

Mark Schwarzer has given an insight onto how Gentleman Roy conducts himself during training and also given his general opinion of the man, remarking,

"Roy has been exceptional - one of the best managers I have worked under."

"You should see him on the training ground, day in, day out. He doesn`t stand around on the touchline watching and just barking instructions,"

"He takes 95 per cent of the training sessions himself. That`s exceptional to see a guy of his level standing doing that. You reap rewards from it."

"He has us playing football and, at times, we have out-played the so-called better footballing teams.2

"He is a great guy, a fantastic manager and deserves a lot of credit for why we are in this position."

Is your contract, by any chance, up for renewal Mark?

Yes, I don't think Mark needs to do any brown nosing to get a new contract. He was easily worth a good 6-10 points to us last year. My worry is that he might want to retire after the World Cup - especially when he gets Australia wins over Germany, then England in the round of 16 ;-)
