Fulham - The Hardest Draw!

The fantastic win over Manchester United will have made the rest of the Premier League sit up and take a few deep breaths!

I`m even wondering if Mick McCarthy might be pondering over whether he was actually right to field his reserves against Manchester United in midweek.

Each to their own though I suppose!

However, I`m not sure if the result will quite have the same reverberations in the Ukraine, the home of our next Europa League opponents, Skakhtar Donetsk.

The Ukrainian team are quality opposition and, as we know, won the UEFA Cup last season beating Werder Bremen in the final.

I doubt if we could have got a tougher draw!

Reflecting on it, Roy Hodgson had this to say,

"It doesn`t get much harder than playing the champions."

"We saw last year what a good team they are."

"Last year was a great success for Ukrainian football, with Dynamo Kiev reaching the semi-final as well, so we couldn`t have asked for a much tougher draw."

"On the other hand we have battled hard to get through the group stages and we were hoping for a good, interesting game."

Not many would have given us a chance of beating United 3-0 today Roy, but we did it!
