Fulham - Hodgson on Blackburn Win!

It was great to get back to winning ways especially in conditions more suited to football than those we encountered up at St Andrews on Saturday afternoon.

Following the win, and in his customary post match press conference, Roy spoke about events remarking,

"It was a sweet win. I have seen us play more attractive football but you have to be able to play well against teams who don`t allow you to play how you like."

"If you want to beat these teams you have to deal with that and then ask them questions."

"The first 40 minutes was not the sort of game you like to watch or take part in because the ball was all up in the air."

"We hoped to get the ball down but credit to Blackburn because they kept us pinned down and stopped us doing what we wanted to do.

"Fortunately, we had the fight and character to stay in the game and then we had one moment in the first half where we scored a good goal."


I can`t help thinking that first goal, scored by Erik Nevland on the stroke of half time was the event that shaped the final outcome of the match.
