Fulham - Dempsey Eager to Score!

Fulham - Dempsey Eager to Score!

Anyone remember approximately just over a year ago?

If I recall right Clint Dempsey was on the periphery and in danger of being labeled a fringe player, how things change!

Perseverance and dedication allied with sheer hard work have established Clint as one of the first names on Roy Hodgson`s team sheet this season.

On Saturday, in difficult conditions with Eirk Nevland having been diagnosed as suffering from a virus, it was Clint who Roy switched to a more forward position, it`s also a position he may occupy against Blackburn this evening.

On the eve of the Blackburn fixture, Clint has spoken about the push forward on Saturday, reflecting,

"I have had to step in and I don`t have a problem doing that."

"I enjoy it, I just want to be on the field, whether that`s out wide or up top. I was happy with my performance at Birmingham. The only thing I could have asked for is a goal, which would have been the icing on the cake. Maybe that will come tonight."

It sure could, Clint could be the one to nail the three points tonight!
