'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham in Weak Ferdinand Link!

January seems a long way off but I`d hazard a guess that transfer budgets are already being compiled and that clubs, across the land, are looking at their playing staff, assessing which areas need improving and discussing possible replacements.

Well the tabloids seem to have insider information already relating to that epic subject.

With Brede Hangeland set to, according to the media, sign a new contract very shortly, one leading red-top is trying to persuade us that Fulham are keen on bringing Anton Ferdinand back to London.

Apparently Ferdinand, who is now out of the picture at 'The Stadium of Light` wants a return to London. A couple of months ago I may well have considered Fulham`s interest to be logical. We looked a little stretched in the central defender category but the emergence of Chris Smalling has given us the extra depth we needed.

Therefore, we`ll pass on Anton Ferdinand and let someone else spend their limited amount of cash on him!
