Fulham - Greening Duff Exposure!

If I were to be brutally honest with regards to the performance on Saturday, I`d admit that we only really got going once Damien Duff came on as a substitute.

His trickery upset the Birmingham defence and started to open up spaces for us to exploit. Whether, in hindsight, he should have started or not is a subject that might make a lively discussion.

But, Roy Hodgson called it as he saw it and Jonathan Greening has provided a good insight into the mind state Damien was in when he arrived back from that controversial match against France, in Paris, when he commented,

"He was pretty low when he came back from France so to help him we have given him some stick."

"A few of the boys asked him why he cried on the pitch! But if it was my last World Cup I would be upset."

"He likes to take the mickey, so he is getting a bit back."

"He is a great character and he will bounce back."

We`re sure he will and I bet the ex-Blackburn player is keenly looking forward to taking on his old club on Wednesday evening at Craven Cottage.

I was not a fan of signing Duff to begin with, but I must admit that we are a much more dangerous side with him in the lineup.
