Fulham - Dempsey Rues Lost Point!

With Erik Nevland forced to pull out of the fixture against Birmingham, on Saturday, due to succumbing to illness late on, Roy Hodgson was forced to make a change.

The versatile Clint Dempsey was asked to play alongside Bobby Zamora and although the weather conditions made the contest scrappy, to say the least, Dempsey did a decent job playing in a slightly unfamiliar position.

Perhaps, on another day, Joe Hart might not have got his hands to that late effort from Dempsey and we`d all be discussing a 1-1 draw instead of a blip on our unbeaten record, but such is life and although Dempsey was to later reflect,

"We kept them on the back foot and a fair result would have been a draw."

I`m sure we`ll bounce back with three points on Wednesday night when Blackburn Rovers arrive in our part of London!

Injuries and illness aside, this was yet another of our grind-it-out, go-for-the-draw performances. We put a lot of pressure on our home form when we don't try to take point against teams like Birmingham and Wigan. I wish Roy would throw caution to the wind in our away fixtures and just go for the win sometimes.

i would have to agree 1 win makes up for 3 boring draws

AWAY WINS AT ANY GROUND ARE HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS ALL THE PREM CLUB ARE CLUED UP AND THE IS A LOT OF PRESSURE TO WIN THERE HOME GAMES
truth sayer ffc
anyone think it should be a bigger reward for an away win?
