Fulham snatched an unlikely draw this afternoon after being 2-0 down to Manchester City.
The draw continues a remarkable run that has us as the only side, in recent history, to have troubled Manchester City at the new home since they became considerably richer than thou!
Unfortunately, Roy Hodgson had to field a side that contained a few fringe players today with the squad shorn through unavailability, of Murphy, Etuhu, Dikagcoi, Konchesky and Andrew Johnson.
But fair play to those who came in as all eleven players did a fantastic job to keep our recent revival going.
The first half was score less but both sides had chances. Tevez could have opened the scoring in the 17th minute but saw his shot go wide of the post. Kamara then beat the offside trap only to offer a poor finish with City responding through chances for De Jong andToure, but it was to be a goal less first half.
Eight minutes into the second half though Lescott gave the home side the lead and when Petrov doubled it seven minutes later you feared the worst for Fulham.
But Roy Hodgson`s side are made of sterner stuff and two minutes after City`s second goal, Duff reduced the arrears. Six minutes later, capping of a magical fifteen minutes of football, for the non partisan fans watching, Dempsey made it 2-2.
Neither side could add to the score line though and Fulham will be pleased that the remarkable run at the City of Manchester Stadium, whereby we`ve not lost in three seasons, continues.![]()
