'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Official - It`s a Farce!

Criticism is something that is easy to hand out, constructive criticism is, in some quarters, most welcome!

Therefore we sincerely hope that UEFA take not of the farce that occurred at Craven Cottage last night.

Six officials descended upon our part of West London.

• One to referee!

• One to run one line!

• One to run the other!

• One to stand adjacent to the dug out and hold the boards up!

• One to stand in front of the Hammersmith End and meddle

And

• One to stand in front of the Putney End to make a complete farce of things!

Well that`s what it seemed like.

When John Arne Riise spectacularly collapsed in the penalty area under a challenge from Stephen Kelly every man and his dog knew exactly who the perpetrator of the foul was. But not the fool stood five yards away behind the goal.

This fool thought the culprit was Hangeland and the referee brandished a red card in the direction of the Norwegian.

Hangeland refused to go and only after some very quizzical looks did the real culprit take the long walk.

Six officials - an absolute farce!

Completely ridiculous sending off. It was a soft penalty, but a penalty nonetheless.

MAYBE WE SHOULD HAVE ONE IN A BOAT ON THE RIVER

HA! but seriously, not a red... clumsy, penalty for sure, but not a red... and if it's your only job to determine if there should be a penalty and presumably, who committed it, how do you get that wrong? ridiculous
