Fulham - Hangeland Warned Off Bullard!

With friend or foe Jimmy Bullard set to make his return to Premier League football, for Hull, at Craven Cottage on Monday evening, we learn that his reputation as a joker earned a swift rebuke from Brede Hangeland.

Apparently, Hangeland, when he arrived at Craven Cottage, was perfectly aware that Bullard had a reputation as something of a joker. Keen to maintain some dignity as the new arrival, Brede let Jimmy now in no uncertain terms that he`d not be susceptible to any practical jokes, as he recalls,

"I said to him early on - don`t do anything to me and he respected that."

"I am not a scary character but people do respect me."

"Jimmy`s a funny guy and a good player."

"He was a big person in the changing room."

"He`s always in a good mood and made people laugh. We miss Jimmy in that sense, and on the pitch."

Are all Scandinavians killjoys? It was only a laugh Brede!
