After Carlos Tevez netted against his former club, West Ham, in midweek, the celebrations were muted.
Tevez received adulation from the media for such a gallant act but our left back, Paul Konchesky, has other ideas when it comes to scoring.
Last season, Konchesky, who left West Ham amidst a little acrimony, scored with a stunning 25 yard shot that even saw the West Ham fans applaud.
Speaking about the Tevez way and if he, himself, were to score on Sunday, Paul had this to say to the media,
"Its business, its football. And I`m speaking as a West Ham fan from Dagenham, who used to stand on the terraces at Upton Park every week."
"Players have the right to celebrate a goal and I don`t score that many for a start. It`s an adrenalin rush and that kind of takes over."
"It`s a big game coming up against West Ham, so why shouldn`t I celebrate a goal?"
"Carlos showed respect to West Ham but, to be fair, it was a long time ago now. There`s no harm in celebrating as long as you don`t go to the lengths of Emmanuel Adebayor."
"I scored at Upton Park last year and celebrated. And if I score on Sunday, I`ll do it again. I don`t think the fans mind."
We look forward to seeing how it turns out Paul!![]()
