Fulham - Are UEFA likely to bend?

I`ve just noticed an article on the internet that Fulham have approached UEFA with regards to bending the rules a little.

It would appear that some behind the scenes drama has left us with only two fit keepers at Craven Cottage, Mark Schwarzer and Pascal Zuberbuhler.

Now with clubs having to register players with UEFA ahead of the competition proper starting, the name of Zuberbuhler was not submitted on the list.

Therefore, if some injury befell Schwarzer, we`d have no keeper to replace him.

Subsequently, Fulham have asked UEFA if Zuberbuhler can be registered. Now knowing UEFA and how much they love to see English clubs do well, what do you reckon our chances are?

Zilch anyone?

I love a good UEFA conspiracy as much as the next guy after collina in our cl qualifier in '05, but really why would UEFA do this? I'm pretty sure any player under the age of 21 doesn't have to be registered, so you could use a youth keeper....

Usually get a little more latitude with keeper 'issues', so I imagine they'll let it go.
