Fulham - Strongest XI v Basel?

After changing the team, on a wholesale basis, with alarming regularity for Europa League games, a little rumour is sweeping cyberspace that the fixture against Basel will be different.

It`s being reported that Roy Hodgson will be fielding the strongest available side he can muster as Fulham seek to get their first three pints in the group stage after gaining a creditable draw in Sofia.

The only likely absentees from the starting eleven will be Damien Duff, David Stockdale, Dickson Etuhu, Brede Hangeland and Simon Davies.

It makes you wonder whether Roy has done the maths and worked out that a win against Basel is a necessity if we`re going to do justice to our presence in this competition and not meekly fade away regarded as Europa League flops.

Anyone else of the same opinion or have I gauged it wrong?

Failure to get all three from Basel might signal the end, I'm afraid.
