Fulham - Hodgson Happy With Strikers!

That old chestnut is reappearing again, the implication that our front two are the cause of our poor record of only four goals in our first six Premier League games.

Whilst we willingly acknowledge that we`re not the most free-scoring of teams we share Roy Hodgson`s view that the front two are not to blame, with Roy commenting post match,

"I`m really happy with the way Zamora and Johnson are playing together. If they can continue the next 30-odd games then they`ll create a lot of problems for defences.

Could the trouble be the fact we`re not creating enough chances?

Finishing. Finishing. Finishing. Without goals, it's all for show. Somebody has to convert great link-up play to goals. I sincerely hope we've turned the corner and will play with the same level of intensity and quality that we showed against Arsenal. Add in a few goals and we'll start to climb the table.

i definitely agree... but i will admit that zamora had some chances that a better forward would have put in... i'm not saying they were easy, but i do think we could have seen some goals against arsenal...

had the chances against arsenal let worry about keeping the goles out first then worry about scoreing them

Steve Bruce made a good point in the papers today commenting on Bent et al, saying that you're only as good as your strikers. In a team comparable to Sunderland, they are doing well because their strikers are scoring. We need to score goals
