'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Ice Cool Hodgson!

Sat mulling over the injustice of it all last night, I pondered on how hard it must be to keep cool in front of a barrage of reporters keen to get your views.

Yesterday, against Arsenal, Fulham looked back to the form that served them so well last season but still managed to lose.

Gentleman Roy Hodgson must have been hurting inside at the injustice of it all but still managed to keep calm, keep his poise and deliver a verdict ton affairs that make him the gentleman we all know and love when he told reporters,

"I thought we played well. I was hopeful we could keep a clean sheet and get something from the game. It was a blow when they scored but we came back well and did our best."

"We came across a keeper in splendid form and a very determined Arsenal team."

"I think we can count ourselves unlucky not to at least get a point."

Now if it had of been me I`d have uttered a few expletives, stormed off and drowned my sorrows in a quiet bar, perhaps that`s why I`ve never quite made it to the top though!

I know its always dangerous to believe what you read in newspapers but is it true that your manager Roy Hodgson is out of contract this summer and are you worried that he may leave for a bigger club?

Unfortunately, I could see him leaving if the right offer came along, and I don't think it would be a question of loyalty. At his age, you can't overlook opportunity to further your career. No one could blame Hughes for going to City or Bruce for going to Sunderland. Bigger club; more money... what's to think about.

let's hope he stays... if he leaves, it will be hard times...
