'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - A Murphy Own Goal?

With the kick off a little over four hours away, Danny Murphy has stoked the fires with an article, printed in all the red-tops that has a good old pop at Arsenal.

Danny is quoted as saying that the Arsenal of today are not a patch on the Arsenal of yesteryear and this current side do not put the fear of god into you.

Clearly, in an attempt to boost our confidence, Danny is quoted as having said,

"I played against Vieira, Petit, Henry, Overmars and Bergkamp, a different kettle of fish. I do respect them now and they can turn us over if they play well and we don`t."

"But they were simply better quality in years gone by. I can`t remember a weal link in that team. They were solid at the back, big strong lads, all good athletes in that team."

"They were all established internationals, not one of them was potential."

"There`s a difference between having established internationals in your team and having players who are on the way up."

What have you done Danny?

You may have just provided them with the best pre-match pep talk possible!

The one thing you don't want to do is pep up an Arsenal team for a game they may have taken lightly. He just made a bed for himself now.
