'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City`s Shortfalls Were Fulham`s Fault?

I always find it a little amusing to read the thoughts of those who know they`ve scraped a victory when much more was expected of them.

Multi-million pound Manchester City, in a half empty stadium, flattered to deceive last night. Those millions they`ve spent looked a little wasted and only that fire-brand Craig Bellamy really looked up for it. So what odes the under-pressure Mark Hughes have to say about it?

Well according to Mark, the blame is mostly ours with Sparky remarking to the assembled media in his post match press conference,

"Most of the Fulham players didn`t play at the weekend and were fresh. They scored first and that was exactly what they wanted from their game plan."

"They were very well organized and we had to work hard to break the down. But we were patient and the players showed courage, because in the end, in extra time, a few of them were out on their feet. So it was a big effort from everybody."

Top four - Manchester City, sorry not in my evaluations after last night!

we got the job done on the back of a poor performance which was to only be expected after sundays derby game and as for a half full stadium goes your right but there was still more there than you can fit in your whole ground! ;) we wont be brilliant in everygame you know especially when teams park the bus on the line, but i will take 1-0 wins all season or in your case 2-1

By the way in case you missed it we won 2-1 and it doesn't matter what sort of team you put out. On to Scunthorpe United next. PS will you bring anymore than about 60 fans to the league match in a few weeks time?
