Fulham - Get Tough With Them Roy!

Yesterday left a bitter taste in the mouth, our failure to beat another recently promoted team seems to be indicative of the way things are with Fulham Football Club.

Like many I fear that the success of last season has put a millstone around our necks whilst also convincing those that play for our club that they`re probably better than they are.

Whilst in no way wanting to see Roy Hodgson placed under pressure I can`t help fearing that our current dip in form mirrors what happened to the Blackburn Rovers team managed by Roy Hodgson. After qualifying for the UEFA Cup they struggled the following season with Roy getting the tin tack.

Although I can`t see that happening at Craven Cottage, as we have so much to be thankful to Roy for, the boss will have to turn things around and may have to show another side of his character to the players.

Following the defeat against Wolves, Roy remained diplomatic, remarking,

"We left it late to start playing like the way we can do. We gave the ball away and missed so may passes."

"Football is about taking your chances - they took theirs very well and we missed one or two."

"All credit to Wolves and their controlled aggression throughout the game was very good."

It might have been better to simply admit we were second best and things have to change, the respect we hold for you Roy might have increased even more!

we either need a great win, or a terrific lose to clear everyone's head... we must play better!

The problem is midfield. We can't keep possession, therefore there is no build up in attack and too much pressure on the defense.

such a contrast to last season :-(
