'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Roy Hodgson on the Everton Game!

There`s no doubting it is a crucial game.

A defeat to Everton would leave us flundering at the wrong end of the table, the very end we thought we`d confined ot the history books.

But, as we all know, Everton will not be easy to see off with Roy remarking on the official site,

"I have the ultimate respect for Everton,"

"I think they`re a very good team. They`re very well coached and they`re very well organised. They`ll always be competitive and nosing towards the top half of the table because that`s the type of team they are and they have a manager who won`t allow them to rest on their laurels."

'We know we`ve got a tough game ahead. When I look at the fixtures I don`t see anything other than tough games ahead. I just hope the teams that are playing us will look it in the same way and think, 'it`ll be a tough game because we`re playing Fulham'."

Careful Roy, you`ll have us running scared at this rate!

Everton are going to spank somebody one day - please not us!

Now as we have 2 centre backs again and are not playing Neville there, we *should* be back to a solid defensive unit of last season. And with Distin now having had a fortnights training with the lads over the international break, hopefully we won't be the walkover we were against Arsenal and Burnley. I'm hoping we don't have to wait quite so long again for a win at Fulham as last time.

We need the points here. And with an almost fully fit squad, there's no doubt we CAN get it!

I won't panic if we don't win, but three points would certainly take the pressure off considering we're away to Wolves next weekend after having to travel to Sofia mid-week. Not counting on a win at the Molineux after all that travel. And, losses to the Toffees and Wolves in consecutive weeks would be concerning.
