Fulham - Youngster Signing Imminent!
A rumour swept through cyber-land yesterday that Fulham were looking to sign a teenage striker.
The lad in question was 19 year old Stefan Payne who currently plays for Sutton United after joining them from Croydon in the summer.
Having scored 9 goals in 14 appearances he`s been spotted by our scouts and the proposed deal has reached as far as the medical stage as I write.
The medical has prompted the Sutton manager, Paul Doswell to remark,
"Fulham tend to do more than just a straight medical. The deal is all agreed, it is just a case of Stefan getting through the tests. As with all these things everything has got to be right for the player and the clubs concerned."
No fee has been quoted for the deal but it`s being intimated that Payne will be loaned back to Sutton for the remainder of the season to further his footballing education.
