Fulham - Greening Chase Ends!

The long chase to secure the services of Jonathan Greening appears to have ended.

The West Bromwich Albion captain has finally signed for Fulham in a season long loan deal with a permanent deal set to be done next summer.

Whilst the West Bromwich chairman vociferously denounced any chances of Greening moving to Fulham his manager, Roberto Di Matteo put a different slant on it, remarking,

"Jonno has been a big player for this club and you, as you know, we made every effort to keep him."

"But eventually we felt the deal on the table was a very good deal for us and we decided to let him go. We wish him good luck as he`s been a great servant for this club."

"Wince I`ve worked here, he`s been very professional and I wish him all the best in the Premier League."

Here`s hoping that Jonathan can bring a touch of this professionalism with him and make sure there are no stifled performances like the one we gave on Sunday!
