Fulham - More Greening Developments!

With Damien Duff safely on board and the transfer window now not closing until September 1st, after the Premier League finally realised that August 31st was a Bank Holiday, it remains to be seen if the long awaited capture of Jonathan Greening materialises.

We say long awaited because it`s no secret that we`ve made more than one attempt to persuade West Bromwich Albion to part with their captain. But, it would appear that even with a reported bid of £4 million on the table, Greening comes with a Not for Sale label.

But, with West Brom cruising to a 3-2 win at London Road on Tuesday evening, Greening was conspicuous by his absence, not only from the team but from the squad. Rumours then emerged that Roy Hodgson had held talks with Greening about a switch to Craven Cottage with some internet sites putting the fee as high as £5.5 million.

Now if Roy is prepared to pay that reputed fee then we can only assume that our astute manager clearly feels that Greening could have a major role to play at Craven Cottage, we`ll endeavour to keep you posted regarding any concrete developments.
