Fulham - Duff Signs!

As widely predicted Damien Duff has completed has completed his transfer to Fulham.

The ex-Newcastle player has signed for us for an unknown fee and has joined us with a ringing endorsement from Roy Hodgson on the official club site,

"I am delighted to add a player of his calibre to our squad and welcome the further midfield options he provides us with."

"I have known Damien for over a decade since he broke into the first team at Blackburn when I was manager, so I`m fully aware of his qualities and I an looking forward to working with him again."

And as for Damien, he`s quoted as saying,

"I know that having spoken to the manager in recent days that the clubs ambitions remain high and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead."

Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to officially welcome Damien Duff to Craven Cottage and we`re intrigued to wait and see if his first game, in a Fulham shirt, will be the clash with our rivals from down the road, a club he enjoyed Premier League title success with!

Good news, quality player, hope he stays fit!

Agreed Don. The lad is quality if we can keep him going for most of the season. We don't want to be seen as doing a Hull with their Jimmy Bullard situation. He has a long history of injuries.
KBFulham
That's what I'm worried about, His quality is excellent, but he is made of glass. I really do hope I'm wrong, but I have this bad feeling that he might play just 10-15 games this season.
JKW
You are paying him 50k per week for a 30 year old permenent sicknote and he has got to be up there as your highest paid player, good luck with him, think you are going to need it.
TeddyLyon
Yet Teddy, Chelsea, not too long ago, were prepared to pay £17 million for the lad. He may be risky, but at his best he'll be of great benefit for this football club. Plus, on the bright side, we do have a rather good set of medical staff. They know what they are doing...
