Fulham - Portsmouth to Snatch Greening?

Less than forty-eight hours ago we speculated that Fulham could well be in touch with West Bromwich Albion with another bid for their captain, Jonathan Greening.

Well it now appears that we could have a rival for his services.

Fresh on the tail of the revelation that two Portsmouth stars had a real set to in a hotel corridor whilst on s pre-season tour, it appears that one of them, David Nugent, has been declared the fall guy and has been identified as somebody who should be shipped out.

But what does this have to do with our proposed deal for Greening you might well ask?

Reportedly Nugent, who has never lived up to the scoring prowess he displayed in the lower leagues in top flight football, is to be offered to Roberto Di Matteo, at West Brom, in a straight swap deal that would take Greening to Fratton Park.

Better get your skates on Roy!

Says who? .. I spoke to Nugent Dad yesterday and he confirmed that nobody has show any interest for him whatsoever and he remains committed to Pompey... That said Nugent for Greening .. umm I think I'd do swap .. If there is any substance in this I'd say .. better get your skates on PAUL ;)

we could'nt sign a dole check let alone Greening, mind you he would siut us old, overated and slow.

I think he's in overall very good player and as we have a small team, he would be a very good add to it.

Always rated Greening, he can't shoot for toffee, but that's not what you pay him for. Good skills and vision, and high workrate. Do the deal Paul!

Are there any players we want that other clubs don't start sniffing around eventually!? It's cos they know Roy is a transfer whizz I guess...
