Fulham - Barnes Looks Like the Right Decision!

The reports that came through, earlier this week that the Derby County player, Giles Barnes, has once again gone under the surgeon`s knife is vindication that Roy Hodgson called correctly on this one.

Barnes, as you are all aware, spent a period on loan with us last season without making a first team appearance. In fact the former teenage prodigy only made a smattering of reserve team appearances due to concerns about his overall fitness.

Since breaking into the Derby first team Barnes has been beset with injuries and perhaps Roy thought a change of scenery may once again kick-start a career that promised so much. But t was not to be the case and Fulham were not prepared to take a gamble, a decision that appears to be vindicated by the latest news.

Here at Vital Fulham though we would like to wish Barnes a successful recuperation and who knows, one day, our paths might very well cross!

As always, Roy knows what he's doing!
KBFulham
Agreed, but I keep fingers crossed for the lad and hopefully in future we could see him fit playing for us and we could really see all his talent, which he has a lot.

i second that... here's to the first step, a speedy recover...
woodysweats
It's a crying shame - he has so much talent!
Al Billy
perhaps he'll come good eventually!
Putney
He must be very frustrated, as he clearly is a talented guy. But as KBFulham says... trust in Roy!
donfulham
Maybe we have an option to buy him next season after he has recovered.
