'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - He Isn`t Going Without a Fight!

With our second leg of the Europa League third qualifying tie fast approaching, speculation refuses to die relating to the future of Brede Hangeland.

We understand that Brede has yet to sign the new contract offered and Arsene Wenger is still, reportedly, poised to make a bid.

But, Roy Hodgson seems prepared for such a possibility and has intimated that he`ll resist and overtures from Arsenal, remarking in a media interview,

'As far as we're concerned we want Brede Hangeland to stay with us here,'

"We are going to be as desperate as a club can be to hold onto him."

'In the meantime the speculation will be abounding and we will get on with the job and try not to be too disturbed by them."

'He is happy here at Fulham and not desperately seeking a move elsewhere but we also know there are bigger clubs out there than Fulham and if one comes along we'll have to deal with the situation."

'Let's hope that is a bridge we don't have to cross.'

As we`ve said before though, money often talks!

as far as i'm concerned, nothing has happened yet with hangeland, except that we've offered him a contract extension... arsenal have not said they're shopping, and have not contacted fulham yet... so i'm not going to worry about it just yet...

As the Summer's gone on I've been less and less worried about this. I've come to believe that if we can get a good fee, Roy can bring in someone of equal ability.

We can't loose him, too valuable to us.

we will lose him... just hopefully we get one more season with him... if we can get one more season, i think it'd be worth smalling playing with him to learn from the giant...
