OK....it is clear from the recent polls on this site that we are aware that our first team is in need of a bit more strength in depth.
The kids play some nice stuff but were not really worthy of the goal they scored at AFC Wimbledon last week. 2-1 flattered Fulham`s XI, who were woeful and lacked any real goal threat in the final third.
There is promise there, as they are all comfortable on the ball, but I wouldn`t put them in a European game just yet.
However, whilst the media is linking us with all sorts of players, mostly just to upset Hull fans who really hope they are going to get a striker. (NB - I heard that before going for Owen and offered £5 million for Zamora, that they went for Tevez and Adepaymore, but Phil Brown was laughed out of town).
So if Jozy Altidore goes there, fine. If we get him one a year long loan, fantastic, if Hull pay £7 million for him, even better. We can laugh at that.
It is key that we hold onto Kamara and maybe Eddie Johnson as one of Sir Roy`s first buys may have ability to chase the ball and has understood he needs ability in English Football.
In the meantime, with the help of Sky, we have been linked with a real gem. One of Europe`s best under-21 strikers, with a great attitude who is quick and offers something different to what we already have up front.
A committed lad dreaming of making it, who puts in the work and doesn`t like nightclubs preferring to train, I reckon he would fit in well.
Have a look....place a comment and let everyone know what you think because for £600,000 this could be a REAL bargain and offer something for us as a back up now and for the future.
