Fulham - Wayne Won Them Over!

Only eleven days remain before our very own youth graduate, Wayne Brown, returns from his loan spell in Finland with TPS.

It seems the Finnish fans have taken quite a liking to our lad, who has scored 4 goals and assisted another 4 in only 17 matches.

Brown has turned into quite a formidable player overseas, proving himself to be a rock in their team. Like Terry to Chelsea, like Gerrard to Liverpool and like Murphy to us.

The fans are so disappointed of his imminent departure, in fact, that they have devised their very own chant, in which the last line reads,

"please don't take our Wayne Brown away."

However, as much as Wayne Brown may enjoy the support, he is eagerly anticipating his return to London having been quoted as remarking,

"I am going to play against VPS in Vaasa (on August 16th). Then that`s it for me, I`ll be going back home."

'This has been exactly what I needed, the very reason I came here was playing games. This has been great for my experience as a player. It was a great decision from me to come here."

'Everyone has been great to me - the club, the players and the fans. I`m delighted that we are doing so well in the league."

If I could hand pick a few of our youngsters who are set to make it in the big footballing world, Wayne would be very close to the top of my list.

His sheer desire and determination could be enough to see him through what I think could be a long and illustrious career.

But, are you guys happy to see him returning to wear the white of Fulham?

I completely agree Woody. And with the likes of Smalling and Broggs all making the cut at international level, all seems good!
