'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Steve Phillips?

I have to say I was taken aback by this rumour, but, it seems the guys down at Vital Bristol Rovers think this is a possibility.

It would seem Roy Hodgson is interested in chasing their rather 'unproven' goalie, Steve Phillips.

Apparently, Fulham and Leicester are chasing the lad, who is unwanted by the West Country side.

Leicester are looking for a more permanent deal, while we are looking at him on a season long loan deal.

What I really want to know is, why are we looking at a goalkeeper, and failing that, why such an unknown goalie?

Either Stockdale is going out on loan or Zuberbuhler is going after his poor pre-season appearances?
AlexFFC
I personally feel this'll go nowhere. He would get as many games as Stockdale did last year, and seen as he would be on loan, would be quite pointless, in my humble opinion.
KBFulham
so can someone expalin what was the point of buying Stockdale?
Al Billy
exactly - he's hardly been given a chance, I bet he wishes he'd stayed at Darlo!
Fulham Badger
I just hope this doesn't happen, and Stockdale gets a good chance sooner or later. He could do well with us...
KBFulham
We really need a decent second goalkeeper. Now that seems that Niemi is coming out of the retirement why we don't take him instead.
JKW
maybe they want to bring someone in too keep schwarzer's workload down... while it would be nice to let stockdale get some games, it makes more sense to have him play week in week out on loan... i guess the coaching staff isn't confident in pascal... who knows...

Pascal is not the answer is he folks!
