'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - We Missed Out on Crouch - So What?

Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to offer our congratulations to Peter Crouch on successfully completing his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur!

Now we`re not bitter we readily accept that for Peter it represented the ideal career move.

It represented a chance to be reunited with Harry Redknapp!

It represented a chance for him to resume his partnership with Jermain Defoe!

It represented him with the chance to share striker rotation duties with the rest of the Spurs strikers!

It represented the chance to ease his body gently through a domestic season safe in the knowledge there`d be no European football for him to pit his skills against the sort of defender he may (if selected) encounter during the 2010 World Cup!

It represented the chance for him to stand their hands on his hips and seriously wonder how many chances will Aaron Lennon need to actually get the ball into the middle!

It represented the chance to take his gorgeous bird to N17 to sample life on streets that will remind her of her Liverpool roots!

Bitter! Not us down here by the sparkling blue waters of the River Thames!

9 million is expensive? Bear in mind, he is english and he was sold in a hyper inflated market.

Do I detect envy and bitterness. Shame.

Seriously, Guys. I'm not too blown away by the transfer, but he would have been an improvement to your squad, surely? - And by the way, no-one who plays for or supports Tottenham would be caught dead living anywhere near the place. N17 is actually full of Gooner residents.
Stratty
knobs!!

haha top article. Would'nt have minded getting the big fella though
In Pantsil I Trust
He's a quality player and we'd have loved to have had him, but 70K wages per week? 10 million quid transfer fee?? No thanks, too much for us. I notice Redknapp seems to delight in spending enormous amounts of cash on players and wages... I suspect he saw the financial mess Portsmouth got themselves in backing him in the transfer market and then decided to jump ship before the proverbial hit the fan! Wonder if he'll be able to bankrupt Spurs as well?

putney - you've wound them Spurs boys up :-)
Al Billy
good on yer mate!
Al Billy
it's all my pleasure!

It represented the opportunity for him to ponder life in the bottom three followed by a stint in the Championship. He thought no bugger that I will join Spurs. Last season was a fluke guys and you are going to pay for it with some nice cold Thursday evening games in places you have never heard of.
TeddyLyon
games you'd love to play in you jealous git!
Al Billy
you tell them Al mate!
