They compete in the top flight in Lithuanian football, the aptly named A Lyga, in which they came third last season.

Since being formed in 1996, the club has moved form its original location in Rūdiškės, a settlement in Vilnius to the capital itself, into a brand new stadium, the Vetra Stadium.

The stadium has a capcity of 5,900.

Their chairman is called Romas Stašauskas and their manager is Virginijus Liubsys.

Vetra have faced English opposition before, losing to Blackburn in the Intertoto cup in 2007

5,900 is not very big! You would probably think they would not be as good as Melbourne Victory or Perth Glory
