'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - A Further Crouch Update!

It now appears that it is a straight fight between ourselves and Spurs for the Portsmouth striker, Peter Crouch.

A rumour floating around yesterday implied that Sunderland had withdrawn the offer they made for the tall striker, this has now been officially confirmed with the Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, quoted in a leading tabloid as saying,

"It`s hugely disappointing as Peter was one of our top targets but it was simply a matter of geography."

But, further investigation reveals that Portsmouth are now claiming that they have, officially, only received one bid for the striker and that was from Sunderland with their manager Paul Hart telling Sky Sports,

'I think we have only accepted one bid and that is from Sunderland."

'Peter was fantastic during the three months that I was caretaker manager last season and we will be sorry to lose him."

Therefore, you have to ask whether we`ve all been lead a merry dance by the media or are ourselves, and Spurs, simply biding their time before officially declaring their interest.

Once again, only time will tell.

It will be very disappointing if fall down on your ever dependable arse Crouch is our only new so called striker we sign , we need another extremly very good striker a very good left midfielder a very good left winger a very good centre half and what about turning Milner into a right midfielder not strickly and purly a right winger a right midfielder exchanging Bentley and Bent and Jenas for Young and Milner .
POP
Gutted we have to sell him & he will only go to you if Spurs don't want him. The 'Harry' factor is very difficult to turn down.

Overvalued player, even Doyle or Cousin are better than him. Can't understand this buzz over him.
