'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Schwarzer Looking Towards The Future!

The Australian footballer of the year, Mark Schwarzer is loving his time down under with Fulham.

When substituted the other night he received a standing ovation from those in the stadium.

It was a fitting tribute to a man who has had a remarkable season and a man who is looking forward to the new season.

Last week the implication was in the media that Schwarzer may well move on after his current contract expires next summer, however, speaking from his native Australia, Mark puts a slightly different tangent on those rumours remarking to the media,

'We haven`t spoken about a new deal and, while I`m extremely happy at a club that`s given me a new lease of life, there is a possibility I could move on a free transfer at the end of my contract.'

'I haven`t ruled anything in or out. My main priority right now is to push through to the next World Cup."

'If I`m still on top of my game and enjoying things I will look to continue at the top level for at least another year beyond that.'

Another year in a shirt adorned with a Fulham badge would suit us just fine Mark!
